Who We Are and Why We Got Started

At Roaming Remedies Veterinary Care, Dr. Allie & Lizzie believe pets need more than just medical treatment, they deserve care that’s personal, stress-free, and brought right to their doorstep.

After working together in mobile veterinary medicine, we saw firsthand how much easier and more comfortable it is for pets and their families to receive care at home.

When the company we worked for unexpectedly closed, we knew we wanted to keep serving the incredible pets and families we had built relationships with. Roaming Remedies was born out of that commitment: to continue providing compassionate, reliable, and accessible veterinary care across the Denver area.

Our mission is simple: to make veterinary visits less stressful, more convenient, and always centered on the bond you share with your pet.

  • Founder, Veterinarian

    I’m Dr. Allie Plettner, and caring for animals has been a lifelong passion. Growing up in Cincinnati, Ohio, I was always surrounded by dogs, cats, and horses, which inspired me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. After graduating from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2016, I worked as a mobile equine practitioner, caring for horses right in their barns.

    In 2022, I moved to Colorado and quickly fell in love with both the community and the active, pet-friendly lifestyle here. I transitioned into small animal mobile practice, where I’ve continued to focus on providing compassionate, low-stress care in the comfort of pets’ homes. I believe that veterinary visits should be as stress-free as possible for both pets and their people, and I’m dedicated to building trust through gentle, personalized care.

    I share my life with my husband, our young daughter, and our senior dog, who constantly reminds me of the special bond we share with our pets at every stage of life. Starting Roaming Remedies Veterinary Care alongside my trusted technician Lizzie is an exciting new chapter, and I’m honored to continue serving families across Denver and Boulder with the same compassion and dedication that led me to this profession.

  • Certified Veterinary Technician

    I’m Lizzie Kuzmeski, CVT, and animals have always been at the heart of my life. Growing up in Chicago, Illinois, I spent most of my time riding horses competitively, which inspired me to take my very first job as a veterinary assistant. After graduating from Platt College in 2017, I passed the national board exam to become a licensed veterinary technician. Since then, I’ve gained over 11 years of experience working in both busy hospitals and in-home mobile care.

    In 2024, I moved to Colorado and quickly embraced the mountains, sunshine, and the community’s love for pets. It was through mobile practice that I discovered my true passion of providing fear-free veterinary care in the place where pets feel safest: their own homes. I believe that reducing stress during visits not only makes pets more comfortable, but also helps families feel more confident and supported.

    Over the years, I’ve shared my life with three wonderful dogs, including one who had three legs, and currently two cats, one of whom is blind. Each of them has reminded me of the resilience, joy, and individuality that every animal brings into our lives.

    Starting Roaming Remedies Veterinary Care with Dr. Allie has been a fun and challenging new adventure and I’m honored to bring my passion for high-quality medicine and stress-free care to families and their pets.
